Cafe La Fortuna
A longtime Upper West Side institution that serves the
neighborhood's best cappuccino, espresso and Italian ices. (When
feeling especially decadent, we like to order the iced cafe mocha
with Italian ice -- it's Rome's answer to the root-beer float.) The
low-ceilinged cafe is decorated with opera records, and opera music
frequently drifts from the overhead speakers. Popular spot after a

fantastic. Sip an espresso while reading the menu's history of the

This tiny West Village restaurant is so British you'll think you are
in London. It is frequented by a young U.K. crowd and is popular
with celebrities as well. Afternoon tea is served on weekdays and
